I’m standing in a place called Heavenly Village in South Lake Tahoe which is at the base of Heavenly Ski Resort.
There are flowers and fountains, and people ride the gondola up the mountain from right here where they’re staying in the village.
There are condo units, Timeshare resorts, restaurants, shopping and casinos all at heavenly village!
It is very upscale, extremely clean and also quite pretty.
People come out of their condo, walk over to the gondola, go up the mountain and they can ski all day. When they finish skiing they take the gondola back down and walk back to their room.
It’s very convenient and an ingenious layout!
It’s called a ski in ski out property.
So I decided to take a ride up the gondola and it was quite steep in places!

At the first stop when you take the gondola it takes you to an observation deck
where there is an amazing view of Heavenly Valley and Lake Tahoe.
From the observation deck you switch to an open chair lift which takes you up to the ski runs of the Heavenly Valley Ski Resort.
The view from the chairlift of the lake and valley is nothing short of spectacular!
Now when you get to the top of the mountain, that is when the fun really starts.
In the summer, they have all sorts of climbing apparatus built there for kids and children absolutely love it.
Parts of it are extremely high and to be honest I was a little nervous at first, but they’re strapped on pretty good so it turned out ok.
They have a rock-climbing wall and also a bobsled track built down the mountain which was super fun!
They also have a zip line for adults and also special zip line chairs made especially for children, so I felt good about that!
When you finish with the activities on the mountain you can go to the pool at your resort and it just makes for a really wonderful family day!
Heavenly village is surrounded with multiple mountains and ski slopes and in the village at night they have a huge ice rink where you can take your family for a fun night out.
If you are a skier, you are going to love Lake Tahoe!
They have snowmobiling, snowboarding, they have skiing and every other kind of winter activity imaginable.
Now if you go in the summer the lake has the cleanest water of any lake in the country, I believe you can actually drink it as it’s 98.6% pure!
It’s fed from all the melted snow right off the mountain.
There’s boating, canoeing, jet skiing and every other kind of summer water activity around the lake.
They also have bicycle paths that go everywhere, so if you’re into biking you are going to love it!
In addition to that there are multiple hiking trails that go all over the mountains and around the lake so it you like the outdoors you should be in heaven here!
If you want to go to an extremely clean outdoor mountain and lake resort, you can not go wrong with Lake Tahoe!
