Taking the kids to Disney World!
Trying to decide the best places to stay at Disney World can be a big job.
We took a trip which is probably every parents dream..
We took our kids to Disney!
We weighed out the difference between staying inside the park where you go downstairs and get on the monorail in your hotel or staying just outside the gates in a luxury condominium with additional amenities.
The biggest difference other than the size of the unit was indeed the price.
Staying just 6 minutes outside the gate enabled us to save over $2,000 on our accommodations.
In addition, we only needed one condo unit instead of two hotel rooms (so I guess you could say we actually saved over $4,000.)
We also had about 3 times the amount of space in the unit and had full kitchens and a beautiful swimming pool to enjoy in the evening!

We stayed in a place called the Silver Lakes Resort.
The Silver Lakes Resort is the solid red arrow on the map and the big green area is Disney World.
This is a timeshare resort and what I mean by that is that when you check in they take you to your huge luxury condo.
The units are equipped with a big living room.
They also have a full dining are just like home.
Every unit comes with a full kitchen either in the center or at end of the unit depending on which model unit you have.
But regardless every unit has a full kitchen and if you have children this is a blessing!
Having the kitchen saved us a ton on our food expense while we were there so I was thankful for that.
Speaking of children, if you travel with children every unit in this resort also has a full washer and dryer. Really great!
We had a two-bedroom unit which also had a sleep sofa in the living room.
The second bedroom had a king-sized bed and standard bathroom.
Our master bedroom had another huge king-sized bed, but our bathroom also had a wonderful big jacuzzi bath which my wife and I enjoyed immensely!
The property also has a huge game room for the kids.
The resort also has a full gym if you like to work-out you won’t miss a beat if you stay here!
There is also basketball and a full-size tennis court too!
A wonderful swimming pool was also waiting for us every night when we returned from our daily adventures.
Each night my children wanted to go the pool which made for some great family time and wonderful lifetime memories made.
So, if you’re looking for a place where you can stay around Disney in a luxury facility without having to spend a fortune to do it, you may wish to consider the Silver Lakes Resort.
The Silver Lakes Resort is literally about 6 minutes from the gates of Disney with a shuttle that runs about every 15 minutes.
I believe all the resorts around Disney have shuttles that run back and forth.
We probably have around 30-40 different resorts around Disney with contract rate access, but the Silver Lakes Resort just happened to be the place we chose.
We stayed for a week with 6 people in a luxury condo around Disney for only $299 for the entire weeks stay which I thought was phenomenal.
The tourist rate on the same place was around $2300 retail had we just come there as normal tourists.
Silver Lakes gave us all the luxury amenities we wanted in a resort.
A luxury 2-bedroom condo, big swimming pool, gym, game room, basketball, tennis etc, and was only 6 minutes from the gates of Disney.
So, we literally got to enjoy the best of both worlds, stay in luxury, and saved a ton of money in the process!
