This was a very different cup of my biggest vice! I must say if you would have told me about it and where it came from initially I probably would have declined to try it.
However “When in Rome”.. (hahaha) and I’m so glad I tried it!!
If you ever get the chance I’m sure you would be too!!
I am in Hanio Vietnam in an very exquisite coffee shop. I say exquisite because Vietnam is one of the largest coffee growers in the entire world and they have all different types of coffee here.
But what I’m really excited to share with you is I came across the most expensive coffee in the world here and it’s called Kopi Lewak!
It comes from an unusual cat in Indonesia called an Asian Palm Cevet or some people call it a Cevet Cat.
The cat eats the coffee beans, processes it through their digestive system and when they come out on the other end the growers harvest and process them.
There’s something about that cats digestive system that ferments the beans in a special way and it gives the coffee a unusually smooth and wonderful taste.
So I wanted to share this with you becasue I’ve read about this coffee hundreds of times but never seen it before. But I walked in this coffee shop today, saw it here and couldn’t believe it!
This is a day in my life I will definitely remember.
So if you’re ever in Vietnam make sure you find a coffee shop with Kopi Lewak and try a cup.
It’s the most expensive coffee in the world, and I’m getting ready to have a cup!
I hope you’re having a good a day as I’m having!!
